Visual Description:
Fanta-MLN is situated in one of the many archways formed by the railroads of Milan. It is a single large room with an arched ceiling. A pair of sliding metal doors open to the southwest and form its only entrance. The space is lit by natural and artificial light and its walls and ceiling are white. An artwork called "Painted Square" covers almost the entire floor in smooth gray floor-paint. As it turns out, the space is wider than it is long, so a section of unpainted concrete stretches along the southeast wall. An artwork called "Four Framed Portraits" hangs on that wall toward the back of the gallery. Four black frames enclose vertical photos of the three gallerists and the artist who are responsible for this exhibition. Curving lines and holograms overlay the photos because they were scanned from the subjects passports. Words like "UNITED" and "OF AMERICA" repeat below the face of one subject, "ITALIANA" can be seen in iridescent purple across the chin of another. All four subjects have brown hair and light skin. One subject has a brooding look on his face, like a model. In one corner is an electrical box with wires that disappear into the concrete wall. In another corner is a single water faucet with a tiny hole below it at floor-level. The limbs of a tree can be seen grazing the edge of the open doorway leading outside. On Saturdays a driver who works for NCC Milano Services sits in a black car on the street. Some days they drive a van, other days a sedan. They were hired to take people away from the gallery. This service is an artwork called "Car".
